The Maccabeats are one of the world’s premier a cappella singing groups. Originally formed in 2007 as Yeshiva University’s student vocal group, the Maccabeats have recently emerged as both Jewish music and a cappella phenomena. They have entertained and inspired hundreds of audiences worldwide. Using nothing more than the unadulterated human voice, a clean-cut presentation, and a little Jewish humor, this unique group of singers is able to connect with fans of all backgrounds and ages.

Orchestra Miami Presents “Beethoven on the Beach”, Free Outdoor Concerts for the Community
Orchestra Miami is proud to continue its series of Free Outdoor Concerts, with three performances of “Beethoven on the Beach, Part III: Clash of the Titans”. These concerts are presented as a gift to the community, completely free of charge. The concerts are co-sponsored by the City of Sunny Isles Beach, the City of Miami Beach and Atlantic Broadband.
• Sunday, March 16, 2014; 8:00 PM at the Pinecrest Gardens “Banyan Bowl” (11000 SW 57 Avenue) in Pinecrest- gates open at 7:00 PM – General Admission Stadium Seating. Concessions will be available (all proceeds to benefit Orchestra Miami); Free parking available on-site.
“Beethoven on the Beach, Part III: Clash of the Titans” features works by Rossini, Mendelssohn and Beethoven, conducted by Orchestra Miami’s Artistic Director, Elaine Rinaldi. This year’s concert begins with the light-hearted Overture to La Scala di Seta by Gioacchino Rossini, followed by the unforgettable Concerto for Violin in E Minor, Op. 64 by Felix Mendelssohn, featuring Orchestra Miami’s Concert Master, Mei Mei Luo, as the soloist. The concert ends with Beethoven’s joyous Symphony N. 2 in D Major, Op. 36.
