We will have great fun learning some basic hand stitches while we create these adorable Monsters. Customize your creation to make it as Ghoulish as you dare! This is a series of two classes. The first class you will be making your Monster from a pre made pattern. The second class is a DIY (Design your Own) pattern Monster or you can pick another one of the patterns.
The St.Louis Catholic Church Knights of Columbus and Columbiette Auxiliary are hosting a Swing-n-Pray Golf Tournament on Sat. May 18th at Keys Gate Golf and Country Club, 2300 SE Palm Drive; Homestead. This will be a scramble format tournament with a 12 noon shotgun start. Price is $125 per golfer; singles welcome. Fee includes green fees, cart,polo shirt,bag lunch, awards,gift bag and banquet with one hour open bar. Hole in one vehicle is a new Ford F150 donated by Palmetto Ford Truck Sales; valued at more than $34,000. There will be fun holes, mulligans, raffles and a silent auction. Zoo Miami and the South Florida Chapter of the American Association of Zookeepers (SFAAZK) present “Savage,” an exhibit of art made by animals for the benefit of animals, on June 1, 2013 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Bakehouse Art Complex, 561 NW 32 St, Miami, FL 33127. Enjoy and purchase art made by tigers, giraffes, elephants, birds, reptiles, and more to make a difference in animal conservation projects. Paintings will be available through silent auction and raffle and will be hosted by our very own Ron Magill!. Be sure to show up early for hors d'oeuvres from Taste of the Wild and animal encounters and stay for the food trucks.

This is a two class series where you get to work with the wonderfully talented Diane Jones where she will teach a pattern from the Jill Wiseman collection called "Curly Q". The first class with cover all the basics and get the spiral started. Homework will need to be completed to get the spiral to the length needed and in the second class she will go over the different finishing options.
