Midday Organ Concert
The director of music Jay Brooks of First United Methodist Church of Coral Gables will perform a mid-day organ concert on Thurs., May 2 and the first Thursday of every month from 12:30-12:55 p.m. A graduate of the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music, Brooks will perform a rich repertoire of spiritual and secular pieces on the church’s 4,000 pipe Louisa Candler Eldredge Memorial Organ. The free concerts open to the public are held in the sanctuary of the historic church, located behind City Hall at 536 Coral Way. For information call (305) 445-2578 or visit www.fumccg.org.
